Visa Application

The documents required for a visa application for travelling to Ghana, for business purposes are:

 

1. APPLICANT'S PASSPORT - The passport must contain at least three (3) blank pages with two (2) facing each other and be valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of entry.

 

2. PHOTOGRAPHS - Two (2) passport sized photographs are required; which must have a white background and have been taken in the last six (6) months.

 

3. BUSINESS INTRODUCTION LETTER - The letter must be an original and not a photocopy. It should contain the following items:

A: To be addressed to the Ghanaian embassy.

B: Be company letterheaded paper.

C: Include the name of the applicant / applicants.

D: To specify the purpose of the journey.

E: Include the name of the Organisation / Organisations that are to be visited.

F: To specify the number of entries and the length required for the visa.

G: Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant / applicants.

H: Be signed by the applicant's supervisor or the company's Human Resources Department (HR).

4. LETTER OF INVITATION - This should be a letter from the company you are visiting (a copy is acceptable). It should include the following items:

A: It should be on company letterheaded paper.

B: Include the name of the applicant / applicants.

C: State the purpose of the journey.

D: State the number of entries required and the length of the visa required.

E: To bear the signature of the inviting party.

 

5. VISA APPLICATION FORM - This may be obtained from your local Ghanaian High Commision or through their website. Please ensure all details that are included in your application, match up with the details provided in your accompanying paperwork.

 

Also required will be the consular fees which will vary depending on the country from which you are applying.
